From May 24 to May 28, 2023, a delegation of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS) headed by Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the FEB RAS, Academician Yuri N. Kulchin visited the NAS of Belarus.

On May 25, the delegation met with the First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Sergei A. Chizhik, during which the parties discussed promising areas and mechanisms for developing cooperation, further steps to implement the prepared Roadmap for the development of cooperation between the organizations of the NAS of Belarus and the FEB RAS for 2023–2025. The issues of financing joint projects included in the Roadmap were also discussed.

On May 26, Yuri N. Kulchin and representatives of the FEB RAS management took part in a joint meeting of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus and the RAS, at which the above-mentioned Roadmap was signed.

In order to identify promising areas for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, the delegation of the leadership of the FEB RAS visited the Institute of Physics named after B.I. Stepanov of the NAS of Belarus, Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus on Food, Institute for Environmental Management of NAS of Belarus, Republican Production Unitary Enterprise Academpharm, Center of Geophysical Monitoring of NAS of Belarus, Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer named after A.V. Lykov NAS of Belarus, Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Materials Science, State Scientific and Production Association of Powder Metallurgy, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the NAS of Belarus, Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the NAS of Belarus and Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus on Potato and Fruit and Vegetable Growing.

The visit program of the Council of Young Scientists of the FEB RAS delegation will last until June 4, 2023 and includes visits to the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus, Unitary Enterprise Geoinformation Systems of the NAS of Belarus, the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus, Tolochin Tinned Food Factory, Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus on Bioresources, the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus. A round table of young scientists of the FEB RAS and NAS of Belarus is scheduled for June 1, 2023.
