On September 7, 2023, at 10.00, the 13th annual scientific conference Traditions and the Current State of Culture and Arts will open at the Center for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Surganava str., 1, building 2, room 302). Leading experts from the Republic of Belarus and CIS countries – the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Uzbekistan – are invited to participate in the conference.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss the role of scientific research in the field of architecture, visual, fine and decorative arts, theater studies, music, photography, cinema, screen arts in solving urgent problems of modern culture. The participants of the forum will discuss topical issues of studying ethno-cultural traditions, folklore studies, anthropology; the search for systematic approaches to solving urgent problems of preserving national cultures and historical and cultural heritage in the context of globalization.

The organizers of the conference are the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Center for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Branch Kandrat Krapiva Institute of Art History, Ethnography and Folklore).
