On November 2, 2023, the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the NAS of Belarus hosted a round table Issues of the Development of Modern Literature of Khakassia and Belarus.

The organizers were the NAS of Belarus, the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Khakassia, the Khakass Research Institute of Language, Literature and History. The event was held in an online format with face-to-face and remote participation. Representatives of the Khakass Research Institute have prepared a thorough presentation of the literature of their region in the present and in retrospect. Scientists from Belarus offered an overview of the modern domestic literary process in various aspects, and also outlined the most important aspects of the activities of the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies.

An important outcome of the event was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Center for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Khakass Research Institute of Language, Literature and History.
