On December 20, 2023, the NAS of Belarus hosted the presentation of the first volume of the book "Xi Jinping on Public Administration" in Belarusian, as well as a symposium on public administration in China and Belarus. The event was attended by prominent political figures from China and Belarus, representatives of the scientific community, students, scientists, and experts. Within the framework of the symposium, which took place immediately after the presentation, the forum participants exchanged views on the experience of China and Belarus in public administration.

Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, made a welcoming speech at the presentation. He stressed that the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus attaches special importance to cooperation with the People's Republic of China, a country with huge scientific and economic potential, we have established strong strategic relations in all spheres, including science and technology. "31 years ago, the signing of the agreement on scientific and technical cooperation between the governments of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China laid the foundations for bilateral cooperation in the field of science and technology. Over the past years, a solid contractual and legal framework has been developed regulating the relations of the NAS of Belarus with scientific and production structures in China. A number of agreements and memoranda of cooperation has been signed with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the academies of sciences of Shandong, Heilongjiang, Guangdong provinces, etc. Cooperation with Beijing and Henan Universities, Yulin and Lingnan Pedagogical Universities, as well as the people's governments of Harbin, Linyi, Guangzhou, Jinan, Lishui, etc. is actively developing," said Vladimir Gusakov.

Director of the PRC Department for the Publication and Distribution of Literature in Foreign Languages Du Zhanyuan; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong; First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Republic of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov; First Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus Andrey Kuntsevich; Director of the Republican Confucius Institute of Sinology at BSU, Chairman of the Belarus-China Friendship Society Anatoly Tozik spoke at the presentation of the Belarusian edition – the first volume of "Xi Jinping on Public Administration" in the NAS of Belarus.

The event was organized by the Information Bureau of the State Council of the PRC in cooperation with the Department for the Publication and Distribution of Literature in Foreign Languages of the PRC and the Embassy of the PRC in the Republic of Belarus. The co-organizers were the Literature in Foreign Languages publishing house (China), the Litaratura i Mastactva publishing house.
