On March 11, 2024, at 10.00 a.m., the Centre for Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1 Surganava str., building 2, room 302) will host a meeting of the cinema lecture hall Screen and Time dedicated to the centenary of Belarusian cinema, entitled The Golden Collection of Lev Golub: Mikolka with a screening of the fiction film Mikolka Paravoz (Belarusfilm, 1956).

Lev Vladimirovich Golub is a classic of Soviet cinema, director, screenwriter, People's Artist of the BSSR (1964). Lev Vladimirovich's films have become a real school for many generations of Soviet children. They taught young viewers and still teach them honesty, perseverance, adherence to a cause and standing by their words.

Mikolka Paravoz is a Soviet fiction film based on the novel of the same name by M. Lynkov, shot at the Belarusfilm film studio in 1956. Lev Golub not only preserved the author's style of the story, organically conveying the events of the literary work, but also endowed the plot with the author's dynamics and flavor. As a result, a classic example of a heroic-adventure children's film appeared, reflecting the traditions of fairy tales and epics about brave and lucky folk heroes.
