On March 7, 2024, a delegation of the Global Energy Association on development of international research and projects in the field of energy, headed by the President of the Association Sergey Brilyov, visited the NAS of Belarus. A meeting was held with Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov, which was attended by academic secretaries, heads of organizations of the Department of Physical and Technical Sciences of the NAS of Belarus. Negotiations were also held with Vasily Gursky, Chief Scientific Secretary of the NAS of Belarus, and Pyotr Vityaz, Deputy Head of the International Association of the Academies of Sciences.

Promising areas of cooperation and mechanisms for its implementation, including on the IAAS platform, were discussed. Sergey Brilyov demonstrated the presentation about the Association, and also invited scientists of the NAS of Belarus to participate in the competition for the Global Energy Prize. The guests got acquainted with the latest developments of scientists at the permanent exhibition of the NAS of Belarus Achievements of National Science for Production.

According to the Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, Belarusian scientists can actively participate in the competition for the Global Energy Prize. "I said that we have relevant developments, our institutes are working in this direction. There are also works in the field of electric transport, hydrogen and solar energy. We have something to present, and we will present our developments," Vladimir Gusakov assured. Sergey Brilyov thanked Vladimir Gusakov for the opportunity to see very interesting developments of Belarusian scientists, including in the field of energy.
