Chief Scientific Secretary V.L. Gursky took part in the event on behalf of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus. The Chairman Yulia Kochurko made a report. New members have also been accepted into the Belarusian Women's Union of the NAS of Belarus, now our organization has more than 100 members.

Women scientists support and initiate the optimal combination of their potential opportunities in the professional, family and social spheres. In 2023, the BWU of the NAS of Belarus organized and conducted scientific, educational, and sports events, as well as participated in social projects and actions.

The following events can be considered a marker of social activity in the reporting period. Thus, a delegation of women scientists of the NAS of Belarus took part in the first Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum and in the organization of the section Implementation of Partnership in Science and Education, which was held at the National Children's Technopark. The members of the BWU of the NAS of Belarus also took part in the Minsk city conference Women's Contribution to the Development of the State: Trends and Prospects, which brought together more than 600 participants working in the fields of industry, education and science, healthcare, culture, media, etc. An important event was the section Women's Contribution to the Development of Education and Science, which was held at the NAS of Belarus and organized by the BWU of the NAS of Belarus. E. I. Kolomiets, Director General of Chemical Synthesis and Biotechnology Association, and Y. V. Kochurko, Chairman of the BWU of the NAS of Belarus, spoke at the meeting of the above-mentioned sections. They presented information about the activities of the Academy of Sciences and the role of women in Belarusian science to the participants of the business forum.

The members of our primary organization are also entering the international arena. A vivid example of this is participation in the 29th International Women's Conference Women Changing the World, which was held in St. Petersburg on the topic Science for Women – Women for Science. Members of the BWU of the NAS of Belarus also became participants in the Congress of Young Scientists of Belarus and Russia.

Significant dates also do not go unnoticed by activists: International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Mother's Day, Father's Day, September 1 (Knowledge Day), Children's Day, New Year. Events with the participation of organizations subordinate to the Academy of Sciences have been organized for these holidays. The BWU of the NAS of Belarus team took part in the winter and summer sports days, in the second tourist rally (kayaking). As part of social events, women also share the warmth of their souls and provide financial assistance to those in need. Women scientists are actively engaged in patriotic education of the population, take part in events to perpetuate the memory of the tragedy in Khatyn, the events of the Great Patriotic War.

The intense activity of the BWU of the NAS of Belarus was noted by the republican Belarusian Women's Union and the Piershamajski district organization of the Belarusian Women's Union public association. A.G. Bobrova was awarded a Diploma for her active civic position and the formation of a positive image of the BWU of the NAS of Belarus by the Piershamajski district organization of the Belarusian Women's Union public association.

Special thanks for participating in the events organization were expressed to representatives of the following labor collectives of the NAS of Belarus: the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library, the Institute of Economics, the Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry, the Scientific and Practical Center on Food, the Intersectoral Scientific and Practical Centre for Identification Systems and Electronic Business Operations, the Institute of Sociology, the University of the NAS of Belarus, the Scientific and Practical Center on Potato and Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Institute of Vegetable Growing.
