In order to form a holistic positive image of science, increase its authority, attract the attention of the general public to the achievements of Belarusian scientists, provide up-to-date information on developments carried out for the socio-economic development of the country, stimulate creative and professional activity of both journalists and non-professional popularizers of science, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus announced a competition in 2024, with awarding diplomas and cash prizes to individuals.

The competition will be held in four categories: the best publication, the best story (program) on radio and television, the best publication in a popular science edition, the best presentation of the achievements of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on the Internet. Three prizes are awarded for each of the nominations. The nomination of candidates for the competition is carried out in accordance with the procedure and within the time limits established by the Regulations on the competition for the best presentation of scientific achievements in the mass media. Nomination materials are submitted to the commission on paper and electronic media by December 20, 2024 at the address: Minsk, 66 Niezaliezhnasci Avenue, Presidium of the NAS of Belarus (room 411) and by e-mail: press@presidium.bas-net.by.
