On May 17–19, 2024, a delegation of the NAS of Belarus headed by First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium Sergey Chizhik takes part in the China - Eastern Europe 2024 Expert Exchange Conference (Harbin, China).

On May 18, the opening ceremony of the Conference was held, which was attended by more than 300 representatives from 14 countries: Russia, China, Belarus, Serbia, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, etc. Welcoming remarks were made by Li Zhong, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, Zhang Qiziang, Vice-Governor of Heilongjiang Province, and Han Jiecai, Rector of Harbin Polytechnic University. At the plenary session, Sergey Chizhik presented the scientific and innovative potential of the NAS of Belarus. In the afternoon, members of the delegation made thematic presentations in section 2 Robotics and Smart Manufacturing.
