A new departmental award has appeared in the NAS of Belarus. On May 21, 2024, at a meeting of the Bureau of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, it was decided to establish a badge For Services to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The Regulations on the new award and its description have been approved.

The badge will be awarded to scientists and employees of the NAS of Belarus, heads and employees of other organizations of the country who have made a personal contribution to the development of the NAS of Belarus, as well as for fruitful activities in organizing academic science of the country, strengthening scientific and technical potential and improving the effectiveness of scientific research, innovation, in implementation of research results in practical activities and (or) the educational process.

The badge will be awarded to foreign citizens who have had a significant impact on strengthening international scientific and technical cooperation, expanding and deepening international scientific relations between the organizations of the NAS of Belarus and foreign scientific and other organizations, as well as young scientists who are fruitfully engaged in scientific research and scientific and organizational activities.
