On July 25, 2024, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted an introductory meeting of the interim interdepartmental working group on the development of a Strategy for the Development of Unmanned Systems and a Comprehensive Program for the Development of Unmanned Systems.

The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies, scientific organizations of the NAS of Belarus, manufacturers and users of unmanned systems. The established working group will have to work out in detail the issues of organizing and scaling production of unmanned aerial and ground vehicles and components for it, analyse existing research and development projects, identify areas for improving the regulatory framework, update curricula for training specialists in the field of design, construction and control of unmanned systems.
