On July 26, 2024, the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Petkevich visited the NAS of Belarus.

Chairman of the Presidium Vladimir Gusakov, academician-secretaries of departments, directors of institutes told about the latest developments at the permanent exhibition Achievements of National Science for Production. The activities’ results of the organizations of the Academy of Sciences and the prospects for development in priority areas of science were discussed. Special attention was paid to building a dynamic system of interdisciplinary and intersectoral interrelations ‘science – education – production’. The development of nuclear energy, artificial intelligence technologies, drones, own electric vehicles, the creation of domestic functional nutrition products, the humanitarian component, the fulfilment of the instructions of the Head of State – all this and much more were in the spotlight during the visit to the exhibition.

Natalia Vladimirovna was particularly interested in how much the competencies of Belarusian scientists are in demand abroad and by our closest partner, in the Russian Federation, today. Natalia Petkevich stressed: "The President attaches great importance to the development of science. He has great respect for the work of a scientist."
