On August 1, 2024, the NAS of Belarus hosted a visit by a delegation of the Russian Space Society interregional public organization in the field of cosmonautics exploration and popularization headed by its President Alexei Gaponov. A working meeting was held with Sergey Chizhik, First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, and the leadership of the Belkosmos Scientific and Production Corporation cluster of the NAS of Belarus.

During the meeting, issues of enhancing cooperation and promising areas of cooperation between organizations were discussed. During the meeting, a protocol on mutually beneficial cooperation between Belkosmos Corporation and the Russian Space Society was signed. The document was signed by Deputy Head of Belkosmos Corporation, Head of the Department of Space Activities of the Apparatus of the NAS of Belarus Pyotr Vityaz and President of the Russian Space Society Alexey Gaponov.
