On September 30, 2024, the awarding ceremony of the participants of the exhibition-competition ‘100 Innovations of Young Scientists’ took place in the Large Conference Hall of the NAS of Belarus. The winners received awards and memorable prizes from the hands of Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Uladzimir Gusakow. The winners were 26 young researchers. Diplomas and commemorative prizes were awarded not only to the winners, but also to the participants of the exhibition.
Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Uladzimir Gusakow addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. "When we reviewed the projects, we were convinced that all young developers deserve gratitude and encouragement. Good, significant, effective developments were presented at the exhibition-competition. Today we are awarding the best," Uladzimir Gusakow said. He stressed that youth is a priority at the Academy of Sciences and everything possible is being done in the country to support young scientists. "A considerable number of young scientists come to the NAS every year, and we try in every possible way to support young people and integrate them into our system. And then everything depends on them. They need to work actively, intensely and productively," Uladzimir Gusakow added.
Stanislaw Juretski, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Belarus, spoke about the activities of the Council and the support for young scientists that is being conducted at the Academy of Sciences.
The exhibition-competition ‘100 Innovations of Young Scientists’ has been held since 2022 to accumulate and popularize the scientific achievements of young scientists in the implementation of priority areas of scientific, technical and innovative activities. On September 7, 2024, 145 projects from young scientists from scientific organizations of the Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Health and institutions of higher education of the country were presented at the Science Festival at the exhibition-competition ‘100 Innovations of Young Scientists’ in the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus. The jury of the competition noted the novelty of scientific developments and the possibility to implement them in the real sector of the economy. The participants of the exhibition-competition ‘100 Innovations of Young Scientists’ visited a number of scientific organizations of the Academy of Sciences.
