On January 27, 2025, in honor of the Day of Belarusian Science, a large group of scientists from the NAS of Belarus were honored high awards. In total, over 50 people were awarded.

The honorary title of “Full Cavalier of Medals of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus” was assigned to Academician – Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts Alexander Kovalenya. The high award was presented to the academician by the Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov.

A solemn award ceremony was held for the laureates of a number of academic competitions for the year 2024. Vladimir Gusakov presented awards to the laureates of the competition for prizes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; laureates of the Special Prize of the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; laureates of the annual competition "100 Young Talents of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus"; winners of the competition of breeding achievements for the best variety (hybrid) of agricultural plants "Best Variety". Laureate diplomas were also presented to the winners of the competition for the best presentation of scientific achievements in the media in 2024. These are representatives of the country's leading media. Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov presented the Gratitude of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus to the Director of the Institute of Microbiology Alexander Shepshelev, the badges of distinction named after V.
