Visit of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Srpska
On March 21, 2025, negotiations were held between the Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov and the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Srpska headed by the Chairperson of the Council of Peoples of the Republic of Srpska Srebrenka Golich. The delegation members got acquainted with the main areas of activity and developments of the organizations of the NAS of Belarus at the permanent exhibition “Achievements of Domestic Science – to Production”. During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas and mechanisms of bilateral cooperation. Vladimir Gusakov invited a group of scientists from the Republic of Srpska to visit the NAS of Belarus to work out promising areas of joint research in priority areas of scientific development.
Srebrenka Golich shared her impressions of her visit to the NAS of Belarus in a conversation with journalists. "The head of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus showed us all your achievements. We were very impressed by the level of development that your country has achieved in science and technology. In particular, the development of artificial intelligence, space technology, and materials science. We were also impressed by the development of medicine, especially in drugs against Covid, successes in the treatment of all types of cancer. Also very significant are your achievements in agriculture, especially what is important for future generations, namely, land reclamation, which is necessary for the production of healthy food products. This is a big contrast to what is currently happening in Europe in terms of soil pollution," she noted.
