Congratulations on Independence Day from the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Karanik
Dear colleagues! Dear friends!
I congratulate you on Independence Day - the main holiday of the Belarusian people!
There are many heroic dates and events in the history of our country, which we are rightfully proud of. The Belarusian people have gone through a difficult path of struggle for freedom and the right to independently determine their own destiny. Bloody wars and conflicts have not broken our will to win. Difficulties have only hardened us, and the ability to overcome them have become part of the Belarusian genetic code. The date of July 3 – the day of the liberation of Minsk from the Nazi aggressors – is one of the most significant in our national history. We will forever cherish the memory of the heroism, courage and selfless struggle of the Belarusian people against the German barbarians, and the enormous price we paid for our independence.
We will forever preserve the memory of the heroism, courage and selfless struggle of the Belarusian people against the German barbarians, and of the enormous price we have paid for our independence.
Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus pay close attention to the study of military history. The campaign "People's Chronicles of the Great Patriotic War: Let's Remember Everyone!" continues, the fifth book is already being prepared for publication, which will tell about Minsk underground fighters.
Today, the Republic of Belarus is a sovereign independent state where human life is the greatest value. Further prosperity is possible only if each of us works creatively for the benefit of the Fatherland.
This Year of Improvement reminds us that only we can make our country more beautiful, better and richer. And not only for ourselves, but also for our children and grandchildren.
Dear friends!
I wish you peace, health and prosperity! Let science continue to be the main creative force on the path of development of our country. I am sure that among the ranks of Belarusian scientists there are many who will open new pages of scientific knowledge!
Strength to us, confidence in the future and unbreakable unity for great achievements in the name of the Fatherland!
Happy holiday! Happy Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus!
Vladimir KARANIK,
Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus
