The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus announces the "Top 10" competition for the achievements of scientists in fundamental and applied research for 2025.

The competition will present the results of scientific activities of scientists and research teams working in fundamental and applied research, obtained for the first time or completed in 2025, in the form of publications and innovative developments, if they meet the following criteria: the result has been published in a journal with a high impact factor; the publication has been included in international databases; the fundamentally new scientific information obtained has been published for the first time in book form (as a chapter in a monograph) and is of significant importance for the progress of domestic and global science, will have a significant impact on the development of the country's economy, and the resolution of social, environmental, and other problems; based on the research results, a new technological object (method, process) has been created that meets world standards in most technical parameters.

Organizations (academicians) nominating candidates for the competition submit the following set of documents:

• a letter of nomination of nominees to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, signed by the head of the organization or an academician, including a brief, reasoned introduction of the nominees and a description of their scientific achievements;
• a brief statement of the result (no more than 400 characters); in the case of nominating a series of scientific papers, additionally indicate a list of works included in the series;
• a list of all scientific papers of the nominees published on the topic of the obtained result, indicating the impact factors of the publications in which the results were published;
• copies of scientific papers of nominees published in 2025 on the topic of the obtained result;
• copies of documents confirming the importance of the work for the social and economic development of the Republic of Belarus (patents, copyright certificates, acts of implementation of scientific results in practical activities and (or) the educational process), if available;
• an objective certificate of each of the nominees;
• a summary application (the application form can be found here) in the form of a file compatible with MS Word and a printout signed by the head of the organization or an academician.
