Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, is participating in a conference of prominent scientists from the Global South
The event, which is taking place in Chinese Xi'an, has brought together leading scientists, researchers, and experts from CIS countries, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
The focus is on current trends in the development of science and technology, including artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing, aviation and aerospace technologies, advanced materials, energy and engine engineering, and computing systems.
In his remarks, Vladimir Karanik emphasized the strategic importance of Belarus’s cooperation with countries of the Global South.
"Belarus views the nations of the Global South as key partners in building a more equitable world order and a future of equal opportunities," stated the head of the National Academy of Sciences.
Vladimir Karanik also stated that the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is prepared to offer its capabilities for successful collaboration with partners from major scientific centers to address environmental challenges, advance the energy sector, and provide the populations of countries in the Global South with clean water and food.
