On October 6, 2015 the First Belarus-Pakistan Scientific Workshop opened at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. A large group of scientists representing the research organizations of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has arrived in Minsk upon the invitation of the NASB leaders to participate in the event. The scientists of the two counties are expected to discuss the promising directions of cooperation as well as explore the areas of accomplishing joint projects in the field of information technologies, physical engineering sciences, chemistry and Earth sciences, biological and medical sciences.

Within the framework of the visit the Pakistani visitors attended the permanent exhibition “Achievements of national sciences applied in production”. Also the following institutions of the NAS of Belarus are to be visited during the visit: the United Institute of Informatics Problems, the Physical-Technical Institute, the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, the Institute of Physiology.
