The sides exchanged information on the structure and activities of the Pakistan Academy of Letters and the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, discussed plans for cooperation, exchange of scientific and fiction literature, the selection of works of classical and contemporary literature for translation into the languages of Pakistan and Belarus. The Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan Masood Khan Raja said, “It is very important for international relations when scientists of two countries know each other, because the officials, the bureaucracy, the policy may change over time, but when there is a literary touch it remains at all times and creates the basis for a strong relationship and understanding.”
Director of the Yanka Kupala Institute of literature of NAS of Belarus Ivan V. Saverchenko assured the guests that all the proposals that had been made that day, would be deeply studied and considered.
The sides agreed on deeper and long-term cooperation.
