On February 23, 2016 the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted a delegation from Autonomous Region of Sardinia. The Chief Scientific Secretary of the NAS of Belarus Aleksandr V. Kilchevskiy familiarized the guests with the structure and activities of the NASB, drew their attention to the Academy experience in the field of agriculture and technologies in food production. A. Kilchevsky also expressed interest in experience of colleagues in production of cheese from cow and sheep milk.

The delegation led by the Head of the Sardinia President Administration Filippo Spanu expressed readiness to cooperate in the areas profiling in this region, such as zootechnics and feed production for agriculture. The guests were also interested in the NAS of Belarus experience in the field of space research.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation and mutual contacts in different areas discussed at the meeting.
