On March 30, a press conference on the theme "The Results of Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for Five Years. Promising Directions for the Coming Period" was held at the Press Centre of the Press House. The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Scientific, Technical, Innovative and Production Activities of the NAS of Belarus Staff Ivan F. Solonovich, as well as representatives of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus.

Ivan F. Solonovich reported the role of the NAS of Belarus in innovative development of the country and cited the facts concerning the overall amount of work performed by the NAS of Belarus in 2015 and the amount of work in the sphere of innovative activities. He noted that the National Academy of Belarus had been an orderer of all twelve State Research Programs, which were carried out in the five-year period in the country. In addition to scientific work, the NAS of Belarus is actively engaged in technical developments.

Also the Head of the Department of Scientific, Technical, Innovative and Production Activities of the NAS of Belarus Staff briefly acquainted journalists with the innovative productions created during the period of 2011–2015 on the basis of NAS of Belarus. In total there were created 49 innovative productions for that time.
