Before the event opening the Chairman of the Council of young scientists of the NAS of Belarus Andrei Ivanets noted that the tournament treated as a student teams’ competition has no analogue in the CIS space. This year it is expected 16 student teams and some of them are combined, that is, the participants represent different universities. Tournament tasks were prepared by high-level experts and they are as realistic as possible, and also "they are interdisciplinary, so that participants can demonstrate not only theoretical knowledge, but also their ingenuity ", — said Andrei Ivanets.
At the opening of “SNST” the Chief Scientific Secretary of the NAS of Belarus Aleksandr V. Kilchevskiy wished the participants success in the competition and expressed his confidence that many of those who are involved in this event will be corresponding members and academicians in the future.
The tournament will last until April 8th.
