On March 31, 2016 the Director General of the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the NAS of Belarus Sergei Poddubko at the invitation of the marketing director of Geely International Corporation Zheng Wenda participated in the Meeting on Cooperation in the field of automotive vehicles certification (Moscow).
At the meeting with Director General for homologation of Bereau Veritas Automotiv Prodact SBU Nickle Lowe and manager of Geely Motors LLC International Trade Lai Yuntszyan the following issues were discussed:
- Certification of Geely projects in 2016-2017;
- Assessment of the resources and capabilities of Member States of the Customs Union;
- Certification and testing BELGEE CKD projects for the localization of components and work on the tests of the complete vehicle;
- Further cooperation to establish a joint venture to work on tests.
As a result of the meeting the Protocol of the Meeting on creation of the joint venture Technical Service Body (the Maintenance Body) for work on testing the complete vehicle on the basis of the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the NAS of Belarus with the participation of Geely Motors LLC and Bereau Veritas Automotiv Prodact SBU was signed.
The Protocol provides for registration of the joint venture, as well as development of a strategy and action plan for 2016.
