On April 19, 2016 the international conference "Chernobyl: overcoming. Contribution of scientific and creative intellectuals of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine" is started at the NAS of Belarus.
The forum is organized by the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, the Union of Writers of Belarus, and the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS member states and is supported by the Belarusian Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Health, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Culture; and also the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency on Press and Mass Communications, the Russian Research Center "Kurchatov Institute", Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the corporation "Rosatom" and the House of Press (Belarus). The conference is attended by academic experts in the field of nuclear energy, participants in liquidation of consequences of the accident, sociologists, political scientists, journalists and cultural figures.
