Before the session of the General Meeting the Chairman of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov told journalists that the National Academy of Sciences plans to discuss the implementation of scientific development with industrial enterprises of the country. "We have a number of projects that we are working on with industrial enterprises of the country. For instance, a unique model train is being created with the Minsk Automobile Plant. But now it is necessary to intensify cooperation with the real sector. In the near future we will collect councils with companies to identify priorities and will continue to work on this ", — noted Vladimir Gusakov. The Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus stressed that scientists tend to commercialization of their developments and explained: “The National Academy of Sciences carries out specific developments in the field of mechanical engineering, instrument making and pharmaceutics. We are focused on their speedy implementation”.
Today, according to the results of the session of the General Meeting the Resolution “On approval of the National Academy of Sciences Report for 2015”, the Resolution "On the Abolition of the regional branches of the National Academy of Sciences" and the Resolution "On amendments and additions to the Statute of the National Academy of Sciences" were adopted.
Within the session of the General Meeting the first exhibition "Young Academy", where young scientists and researchers from the NASB organizations presented 100 new innovative projects and scientific developments, was held.
