On May 12 (Thursday), 2016 at 10.00 am a meeting of scientific and technical council on additive manufacturing and at 14.00 pm the Sixth Scientific and Production Seminar «3D-printers: prospects of application and development" will be held in the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Nezavisimosti Ave., 66, room 218). The seminar will be attended by representatives of the NASB scientific organizations, the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus (Gosstandart), higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, industrial enterprises and design organizations. From the Russian side representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Interdisciplinary Engineering Center of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin are expected to arrive.

At the seminar which will take place on the basis of the NAS of Belarus and Belarusian National Technical University the formation and prospects for implementation the Union State program "Development of technologies, materials and equipment for the production by the methods of additive technologies" ("Additivity SG"), the promotion of projects and developments on 3D printing and methodological support for training of pupils and students by the additive technology and mechatronics in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation will be discussed.

The Belarusian and Russian experts will focus on scientific and technical, educational and methodological problems associated with the development of mechatronic equipment, implementing additive technology of "layer-by-layer cultivation" of products from various composite materials, standardization and software for design and manufacturing on 3D-printers, as well as the issues of educational and methodical training of students.
