Opening the First International Congress of Cardiologists and Internists the Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus Vasily Zharko noted the success of Belarusian doctors in cardiology. "212 heart transplants have been done in the country since 2009. By the number of heart transplants we are in ninth place in the world”, said Vasily Zharko.
The First Vice Chairman of the NASB Presidium Sergei A. Chizhik welcomed the participants on behalf of the NASB leadership and noted that the Academy is always proud to be the venue for such significant events.
The Congress organizers are: the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, Department of Medical Sciences of the NAS of Belarus, Department of Cardiology and Internal Diseases of EE "Belarusian State Medical University".
