Before the grand opening of the School the President of the EBTNA Munis Dündar noted that the European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association considers Belarus as a strategic partner, given the high level of development of biotechnology in the country. In turn, the Chief Scientific Secretary of the NASB Presidium, Corresponding member of the NAS of Belarus Aleksandr Kilchevskiy noted that holding of the 1st European Biotechnological School is just the first step. In the future Belarusian scientists plan to conduct the European Biotechnology Congress in Minsk, where modern trends in the development of biotechnology which today have a significant impact on the quality of life through new drugs, medical bio-nanotechnology, food will be discussed at the highest and representative level.
The 1st European Biotechnological School will work at the Academy of Sciences from May 30 to June 4. About 100 people (lecturers and students) take part in the work of the School.
