The guests got familiar with the NASB permanent exhibition "Domestic scientific achievements for manufacturers" and have held talks with the NASB leadership about promising directions of Belarusian-Indonesian cooperation in the field of science and education and the mechanisms for their implementation. The delegation is also set to visit the Powder Metallurgy Institute, Belarusian State University, and the Hi-Tech Park.
Belarus and Indonesia should step up scientific and technical collaboration, Chairman of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov said during a meeting with Chairman of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences Iskandar Zulkarnain. “We have developed good relations with a number of scientific organizations of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences. In December 2013 a program of cooperation was signed between the Indonesian Institute of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in science and technology. But not all agreements are implemented fully. Scientific organizations of the NAS of Belarus are interested in long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with scientific organizations of Indonesia,” Vladimir Gusakov stressed.
Specific projects of cooperation between scientists of the two countries will be discussed in detail during the Belarusian-Indonesian seminar on technological and innovation cooperation, which will be held at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on 1 June.
