On 26-27 May, 2016 the 13th International conference of young scientists on energy issues was hosted in the Lithuanian Energy Institute (Kaunas). Director of the NASB Institute of Energy Anton Brin took part in this event as Chairman of the section "Materials Science and Technologies" and the official reviewer. At the meeting of the representatives of the Lithuanian and Belarusian energy institutions, the parties exchanged information about their research areas and scientific developments. By results of discussion of possible joint work on the disposal of waste, improvement of incineration technologies, pyrolysis of biomass with obtaining solid, liquid and gaseous fuels, biofuel production, increase the involvement of renewable energy sources in energy balance of the countries the agreement on cooperation was signed.
