On June 17, 2016 Chairman of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov paid a working visit to SSI "The Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the NAS of Belarus." V. Gusakov visited the laboratory of the Institute and met with Academic Council of the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the NAS of Belarus to discuss the recent achievements of the Institute and plans for future basic and applied research.

The Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry has long-standing contacts with industry, in particular with JSC "Belaruskali". The scientific organization has a range of developments in the field of oil and organic-mineral dispersions, polymer-containing disperse systems, paintwork and binding materials, etc.

Chairman of the NASB Presidium wished chemists to improve the quality of developed fertilizers, strengthening fundamental research and evaluating their use and relevance in the long term, as well as to intensify the efforts on attracting young specialists to the Institute, starting from school. Vladimir Gusakov also urged scientists to actively communicate information about their research to the public through interaction with the media.
