On September 26-29, 2016 the International Scientific Conference “Technical Acoustics: Developments, Problems and Prospects” was held in Vitebsk on the basis of the Institute of Technical Acoustics (ITA) of the NAS of Belarus and the Vitebsk State Technological University. It brought together more than 100 scientists and experts in the field of technical acoustics and ultrasonic technologies from Belarus, neighboring (Russia, Ukraine) and far-abroad countries (Portugal and Vietnam).

For the first time after disintegration of the Soviet Union the Conference brought together scientists and experts in the field of technical acoustics, ultrasonic technologies and functional materials science.

The next conference is planned to be held in Ufa in 2017.
