A working meeting with representatives of the leadership and organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry, and the Ministry of Education, as well as of universities of the Republic of Belarus was held at the OJSC "Planar". The development of such domestic industries as micro-, opto-, microwave electronics and electronic engineering were discussed at the event. As noted, the use of scientific advances in these fields can be the basis for the conquest of markets. The meeting was preceded by extensive preparatory work with participation of representatives of industrial sector, the National Academy of Sciences and universities. As a result, the parties agreed on the need for organizational solutions that would contribute to development and deepening of scientific and technical cooperation between industrialists and scientists. In the near future it is planned to sign an Agreement on the establishment and activities of innovation and industrial cluster "Micro- and Optoelectronics and Microwave Electronics."
