Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the NAS RK, Foreign Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1996), performed at the solemn ceremony, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences. Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated the National Academy of Sciences, and welcomed guests of the session, namely representatives of the Academies of friendly countries. He wished all the best to the audience and paid particular attention to the foreign guests. The President said that the NAS of the Republic of Kazakhstan was a large intellectual center that day, which consisted of branch and regional departments.
The session was also attended by Academicians, Corresponding Members, Honorary Members of the NAS RK, rectors of universities, directors of research institutes, prominent public and cultural figures of the country, and foreign guests, among them delegations of the Academies of Sciences of the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Tatarstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan; and other countries.
