On 17 May 2017, the Republican public association "Belaya Rus" together with the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hold a scientific and practical seminar on philosophical and socio-political bases of public associations activities in the Republic of Belarus. The purpose of the seminar is to discuss some fundamental principles of public associations activities at modern stage of state, social, and cultural development of the Republic of Belarus in the context of history, traditions, evolution paths, ideological and value bases of the party political system functioning, global trends, specifics of the national state legal model, and tasks of stimulating civil initiative for consolidation and sustainable development of the Belarusian society.

Before the beginning of the seminar, Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the NASB Presidium, noted that the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus interacts with the public association "Belaya Rus" on the wide range of problems. A number of seminars were held on the development of science, youth education, and other issues. Vladimir Gusakov also emphasized the importance of expanding the dialogue between scientific community and civil society on improving the efficiency of economic and educational activities. The scientific and practical seminar is expected to contribute to this discussion.
