NAS of Belarus organizations present 33 new developments at International exhibition and conference on high technologies «eMerge Americas»

The NAS of Belarus takes part at the International exhibition and conference on high technologies «eMerge Americas», which is held in Miami (USA) on 12–13 June. The exhibition aims at attracting and bringing together investors, entrepreneurs and innovators from the United States, the Americas, and Europe to discuss advanced technologies.

The NAS of Belarus is represented by six organizations there, namely:

  • the NASB Scientific and Practical Center for Agriculture Mechanization;
  • the NASB Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry;
  • the Self-Supporting Pilot Production of the NASB Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry;
  • the NASB United Institute of Informatics Problems;
  • the NASB Scientific and Practical Materials Research Centre;
  • the NASB Institute of Chemistry of New Materials.

    Technologies for water purification, software for automatic detection of disease features based on advanced Deep Learning methods, technologies and samples of new materials, etc. are presented at the NASB stand.

    Four projects from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were submitted for the startup projects competition "StartUp Showcase." Projects represent the developments of young scientists in the field of microbiology, medicine, nanotechnologies, and new materials.

    In addition to participating in the rich business program of the exhibition, the delegation of the NAS of Belarus will visit the Beacon Council which is a Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Miami-Dade County, and a round table with the Miami-Dade County and the Beacon Council officials. The NASB delegation will also have a series of meetings and events as part of the Belarusian Day in Fort Lauderdale and Broward County, in which businessmen and the leadership of the city and the district will participate.

    The NAS of Belarus expects significant results from its first participation at the exhibition in the USA. Issues of approval of work plans for 2 new projects have been preliminary elaborated. Besides, it is planned to sign an agreement on access to the largest international database of MRI images of the brain, as well as to conclude a number of agreements on scientific and technical cooperation.
