The FAO holds such a large-scale forum in Belarus for the first time. About 100 representatives of the government and civil society from 15 countries of the Europe and Central Asia region will arrive in Minsk. Leading Belarusian scientists and specialists in the field of agriculture and food will take part in the seminar. Participants will discuss issues of sustainable food security, agriculture and climate change, as well as globally agreed Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and methods for their achievement at the national level. Countries will exchange relevant experiences in mainstreaming sustainable development issues into national policies and action plans.
The regional seminar on sustainable future will start at the NAS of Belarus (Minsk, praspiekt Niezaliežnasci 66, Large Conference Hall) on 19 June 2017 (Monday) at 10:00 a.m.
