On July 5, 2017 the General meeting of the Republican Association of Nanoindustry (RANI) was held in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The delegation of RUSNANO Group (Russia), led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs RUSNANO Andrey G. Svinarenko, representatives of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry, the State Standard of the Republic of Belarus and business structures took part in the meeting. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Semashko addressed before the participants of the meeting. With regard to the topic of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the sphere of science, Vladimir Semashko said: "Our strategy in scientific and technological innovation coincides. Promising areas of cooperation lie in implementing joint projects in the energy sector, searching for alternative energy sources, producing new materials for industry, building, medicine and agriculture. Belarus has accumulated great experience in creating electronic and optical systems of the target hardware. We see great prospects in joint development of space technologies".

The Nanotechnology Week dedicated to the Year of Science in Belarus was started with the exhibition of products, equipment and devices for nanoindustry. Sergei Chizhik, First Deputy Chairman of the NASB Presidium, Chairman of the Republican Association of Nanoindustry (RANI), noted: "The exhibition presents products of more than 30 enterprises working in the field of nanoindustry, including the NAS of Belarus, university science, and production of scientific laboratories, branch science and small enterprises. It is important to see all those who are interested to work together. This area has potential, in the future it is planned to name it the Congress of Nanoindustry Enterprises". From July 4 to July 7 2017 the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus holds the "Nanotechnology Week -2017", timed to coincide with the Year of Science in Belarus.

A presentation of the Scientific and Technological Park "Belbiograd", created to promote the development of bio, nano, pharma and other knowledge-intensive technologies, and a visit to member organizations of RANI with the presentation of new high-tech productions (the Scientific and Practical Materials Research Center of the NAS of Belarus; State Scientific Institution "The A.V. Lykov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the NAS of Belarus"; the Powder Metallurgy Institute of the NAS of Belarus; SSPA "Center" of the NAS of Belarus; IZOVAC LLC, Optoelectronic systems LLC, etc.) will take place during the Nanotechnology Week. Well-known scientists, specialists and experts in nanotechnology will give lectures in Minsk universities and organizations.
