On 5–6 July 2017, the Days of Belarusian Science, Innovations and Investments took place as part of the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017 held in Astana. An international conference on future energy, innovative technologies and methods for their implementation, as well as an international conference on export opportunities and services in education, health and investment projects were held in the framework of the Days.

During the negotiations, a number of agreements were reached in the field of equipment and technologies sales, as well as in higher education and scientific cooperation, including joint work on the use of Belarusian innovative technologies.

Members of the Belarusian delegation reported about the achievements of Belarusian scientific and technical organizations and educational institutions that can be used in the Republic of Kazakhstan. They concerned such areas as energy and renewable energy, environmental protection and ecology, the use of new materials and technologies, medical science and pharmacy, medical education services, and the development of medical tourism.

The international conferences were attended by representatives of the organizations of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus. Representatives of the Kazakh Ministry of Investment and Development, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Energy, the Science Fund, a number of scientific, educational, scientific and technical organizations and enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan also participated in the conferences.
