The cooperation of the NASB organizations with the scientific institutions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is based on the Agreement on cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) concluded on 15 December 2007.
KACST is Saudi Arabia’s national science agency. To help achieve the Kingdom’s shift towards a knowledge-based economy, KACST is promoting the development and investment in the national system of science, technology and innovation, by orienting research outputs towards industrial diversification.
The exhibition area is of about 300 square meters. About 200 of the latest scientific and technical developments from about 30 different organizations, including organizations from the NAS of Belarus (21), from the Ministry of Education, from the Ministry of Industry and others, will be presented at the exhibition.
New developments in the field of information and communication technologies, original industrial technologies for the production of new materials, medicines, and nanotechnology and biotechnology products will be demonstrated at the exhibition stands in the form of natural samples, multimedia presentations and informational materials.
A joint Belarusian-Saudi scientific symposium with the participation of leading Belarusian and Saudi scientists and top officials of the the King Abdullaziz City for Science and Technology will be held within the framework of the exhibition.
According to the results of the exhibition work expected to conclude several new agreements on scientific and technical cooperation.
