As Vladimir Gusakov told, it is planned that the 2nd Congress of Scientists of the Republic of Belarus will be held in the Palace of the Republic in early December. “We plan to prepare to the Congress a statistical handbook on the development of science in our country, as well as an exclusive edition “Scientists who glorified Belarus,” the Chairman of the NASB Presidium said. The plan of action on preparation and holding the 2nd Congress of Scientists of the Republic of Belarus and program of the Congress have been already approved. Working groups on organizational, logistical, information, editorial and publishing support for the Congress, on the implementation cultural programs and events with participation of young scientists, as well as on the preparation of a development strategy of science and technology in Belarus for 2030-2040, which will be discussed at the Congress have been formed. As a result of the Congress, a resolution on the strategic directions for the development of science and economy in Belarus will be adopted.
Aleksandr Kilchevskiy, Chief Scientific Secretary of the NAS of Belarus, focused on international cooperation of NASB scientific organizations. He said that leading foreign academies of sciences, world scientific research organizations and centers will take part in the 2nd Congress of Scientists of the Republic of Belarus.
Andrey Ivanets, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Belarus, provided information on the forthcoming panel "Youth in Science", which is planned during the 2nd Congress of Scientists of the Republic of Belarus. He also reported on the support of young researchers at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
