On 3 October 2017, the National Press Center held a press conference on the forthcoming 5th International Water Forum “Water Resources and Climate” going to take place in Minsk. The event was attended by Oleg A. Beliy, Scientific Secretary of the NASB Center of System Analysis and Strategic Research. He talked about the problem of polluting runoff in the livestock sector. According to the expert, our country does not fully use the potential of biogas technologies, and the norms of water consumption must be limited by law. A separate session at the forum will be devoted to the topic of the hydropower development and the use of geothermal waters.

The forum will be held at the Belarusian State Technological University on 5-6 October 2017. It aims at developing optimal solutions to increase the efficiency of water resources use for the needs of the economy and their protection from depletion and pollution in a changing climate.
