Projects of NASB organizations awarded at International Ecology Contest "EcoWorld 2017"

On 30 November 2017, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the International Ecology Contest (Prize) "EcoWorld 2017" was held at the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Two projects of the organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were awarded at the contest.

The project "Wastes of Production for Farming in Belarus" was awarded with a Diploma of the second degree in the nomination "Ecological Development, Resource-Saving and Non-Waste Technologies." Viktor A. Satishur, Head of the project, Head of the Research Laboratory of the Polesie Agrarian Ecological Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, was awarded the V.I. Vernadsky medal (RANS).

The Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library was awarded a Diploma for Educational Activities in the field of ecology for the Eco-Info Environmental Information Center project.

The "EcoWorld" Prize is a public award for outstanding achievements in the field of environmental protection and safety, as well as in other environmental activities aimed at sustainable development in the 21st century. This year more than 250 applications from 25 countries worldwide were submitted for the competition.
