A team of the tenth Belarusian Antarctic expedition sends greetings to all scientists of the Republic of Belarus on their professional holiday - the Belarusian Science Day!
In 2017, in the Year of Science, the Second Congress of scientists of the Republic of Belarus was held. This significant for our country event defined priorities for the Belarusian science in the coming years and in the future, gave a new impetus to its further dynamic development for the benefit and prosperity of the Republic of Belarus.
For the team of the tenth Belarusian Antarctic expedition Year of Science in Antarctica is ongoing. In December 2017 and January 2018, the staff of the tenth Belarusian Antarctic expedition in the most difficult climatic and natural conditions conducted installation and commissioning work on the further development of the Belarusian polar infrastructure, successfully implemented significant research programs and projects, thus providing a good foundation for strengthening the material and scientific base of Belarusian research in Antarctica.
On 25 January 2018, on the eve of the Belarusian Science Day three new facilities of the national research station were put into operation, and the next staff of the Belarusian Antarctic expedition was handed over the symbolic keys to modern scientific laboratories, offices and residential space.
The Republic of Belarus, the staff of the National Academy of Sciences, all Belarusian scientists and engineering experts should be proud of the creation of the Belarusian Antarctic station. It is without exaggeration can be considered a significant and successful national project, not inferior to the novelty of scientific and technical implementing solutions and conditions to the projects for the creation of orbital scientific stations. Advanced national scientific ideas and bold engineering solutions were implemented in practice when it was being designed and built. It is being created by Belarusians!

In honor of the professional holiday the flag of the Republic of Belarus and the flag of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus have been raised on flagpoles of the Belarusian research station in Antarctica.
