On 1-2 March 2018 the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus holds the First conference of young researchers of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus "Ars longa: scientific achievements, projects, prospects". Young scientists, laboratory assistants and postgraduate students were invited to present their individual or collective projects and studies of recent years. The organizers hope that such kind of conference will promote the development of internal professional contacts and will activate creative searches for young scientists.

More than a third of the staff of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is young researchers. Annually young scientists take an active part in all areas of research, take part at numerous conferences and produce dozens of publications in Belarus and abroad. At the same time, as organizers note, there is a need to create a convenient platform for constant scientific communication between young scientists in the Institute.
