To start the Seminar Chief Scientific Secretary of the NAS of Belarus, Academician Aleksandr Kilchevsky pointed out that there is a good tradition in the Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the NAS of Belarus to hold seminars together with physicians, because academic investigations “shouldn’t stay on the shelf, but should work for Belarusian medicine and resonate in Belarusian and global scientific society. That’s why current seminar proves our intentions in cooperation with physicians in such challenging field as cardiovascular diseases”, underlined Aleksandr Kilchevsky.
Director of the Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the NAS of Belarus Valentina Lemesh told that the Institute of Genetics and Cytology works with medical organizations of the republic. Results of partnership and joint projects will be discussed at the seminar.
The participants of the seminars are sure, that genetic researches carried out on time could improve way of life to avoid environmental risks and prevent many diseases. Genetics has high potential in prevention and treatment of many diseases, among them cardiovascular. To reveal disposition to diseases on time helps to take preventing measures, stop the disease or make it more bearable, to apply therapy considering individual human features.
