On 19 March 2018, a press conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the tragedy in Khatyn took place at the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus. From the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Vyacheslav Danilovich, Director of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus, and Alexey Litvin, Head of the Department of Military History of Belarus at the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus, took part in the press conference.

The participants of the press conference told journalists about the implementation of the developed and approved Republican plan of commemorative events timed to the 75th anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy, as well as about scientific and practical activities of the NASB scientists to perpetuate the memory of the victims of Nazism, publishing, scientific and educational work, including work with the younger generation.
