The Republic of Belarus holds an annual competition for the Prize of V.D. Spasovich, outstanding Belarusian lawyer, editor, literary scholar. The competition is held in order to promote the formation of legal statehood in Belarus, to improve legal culture of citizens, increase role and importance of law, as well as to promote lawyer profession in following categories: court, prosecutor's office, probe, executive proceeding, advocacy, notary, science and law, economy and law, mediation, law and journalism, student studies.
